10 years ago, I was waiting for Ben to arrive … only then I didn’t know he was Ben – he could have been Rebekah! It’s hard to believe that in 2 days I will be the mother of a 10 year old child!!
I had my 40 weeks antenatal appointment with the midwife – my blood pressure was a little on the high side, so they said someone would come out to see me to check it again on Wednesday (23rd). Everything else was ok, and baby was still fully engaged – all was ready for it to arrive.
That night, Richard went out for his office Christmas meal, and I joked with him as he left that the baby would probably decide to start coming while he was there – just to spoil his meal!! Nothing happened while he was out though!
It was the early hours of 22nd when things started to happen, so my joke wasn’t far off the truth!
